CVS Pharmacy Free Flut Shots Available in October

CVS Pharmacy announced that they are providing 100,000 free seasonal flu shots to the unemployed through selected One-Stop Career Center locations. The Department has contacted CVS for additional information concerning their flu shot donation program and will provide information to the One-Stop Operators and Workforce Managers once we have all the details. CVS did indicate that the program would not commence until October 2009.

Return to Work Program

As many of you are aware, many of our friends and neighbors are facing the exhaustion of their unemployment benefits. Over the past few weeks you may have heard mention of a new demonstration program we are calling RETURN-to-Work. This effort has been developed to target the exhaustees and is based upon an On-the-Job Training model.
